A career spanning over decades, Shahzad Nawaz has been a master of all and greatly respected for his work as an actor and producer for a multitude of projects that he has been involved with. During the time when the local cinema was still struggling, Nawaz took the risks and found him the cult audience with features including ‘Daira’ (2003) – an adaptation of Mohsin Hamid’s book, Mothsmoke, ‘Botal Gali’ (2005) and more recently, ‘Chambaili’ (2013).

Shahzad Nawaz’s debut on Coke Studio, Season 9 adds a beautiful layer to the track featuring Javed Bashir and Masooma Anwar, as he lends his voice to a text that serves as a monologue in between the song.
